Born and raised in Hamilton Sq., New Jersey, Brian Scartocci brings the soul of a city boy to the wild west as lead singer for the venerable Texas groove band, TA’ Funk Spin&Roll.  Citing legends such as Sam Cooke, David Ruffin and Marvin Gaye as his vocal coaches, Brian has developed a sweet soul style that would be just as alluring in 1970 as 2010.  It's much more than just nostalgia for Scartocci though, as he feels soul music has been his salvation and only spiritual release.  "I've never done the same song twice," he admits, "when I get that mic in my hands, something takes a hold of me and even I don't have full control."  That's the beauty of TA’ Funk Spin&Roll, they provide the order to Brian's chaos.  Always in the groove, they swoop and soar along as the audience takes their ride to Motown and back.  "The chance to get out in front of the people and bare my soul is all I ever asked, I'm a very lucky man to get to do that with musicians as talented as I do.  TA’ Funk Spin&Roll got a good thing going, and there ain't no way we'll start slowing now."
